What are people really using this for?
Night clubs currently use Lurus Connect to email their patrons with specials and event calendars, even coupons. Churches are using the tool to email information about sermons or special events. Any company or organization that wants a better way to connect to their employees, customers, members or teammates can use this powerful one-to-many tool.

What sort of results have you had so far?
So far our customers have received up to 15% response rate to their outgoing messages. If you compare that to the 1 or 2% usually realized in direct mail, you can quickly see the power of email marketing.

What will my messages look like when they arrive in someone's email box?
Your messages with graphics, fonts and colors will look exactly as you intend them to if they are read by one of the standard HTML-based browsers (Eudora, Outlook). As long as your audience allows for HTML viewing in their email you're set. If they only allow text to be viewed, they will see HTML code.

Isn't this considered spam and don't people hate it?
Unsolicited email is considered spam and we, with everyone else, hate it. The Lurus Connect tool sends only to those people that have specifically requested information from your company.

Do I need to install any software to run the Lurus Connect tool?
The only software you may need is Microsoft Word™. Lurus Connect uses Word files (or HTML and text files) as the basis for your messages. Simply create your message on a single Word document, setting the text and graphics the way you want, upload it to the system, click on the date and time you want the message to go out and voila! Your message is delivered directly to your customers' mail boxes exactly as you created it.

How many email address will the system handle?
Lurus Connect is provided to you in four possible packages. With package #1 you can email 10,000 unique email addresses with eight messages per month. Package #2 allows you to email 50,000 unique email addresses with up to eight messages per month. Package #3 allows you to email 100,000 unique email addresses with up to sixteen messages per month. Package #4 allows you to email 100,000 unique email addresses with unlimited messages. Additional capability for emails can be negotiated.

Is an email newsletter the same as a message?
Yes. We interchange the terms depending on how we feel when we are writing this stuff.

What is a bad email address?
A bad email address is an address that 'bounces' or responds back that it cannot be found. This will sometimes happen if the subscriber's address has a typo or if the subscriber closes the email address he or she used to subscribe with.

What happens when an address is bad?
When an address returns to the system as 'bad' it is listed and no more emails will be sent to that address. You can also easily remove all bad email addresses.
